At Think Big City we are all pet lovers. Between us we own four dogs, one cat, four kittens, and a budgie and enjoy the visiting wild Kookaburras and Crimson Rosellas. We have always had pets ranging from a one-eyed goldfish to angora goats. Pets continue to play an important part in our lives. I remember my mum telling me that I learned to walk by pulling myself up on her large German shepherd dog. She also mentioned that often he would run away and I would have to pick myself up and start over again.

My children have also been brought up with pets as friends. We used to live on a farm so they grew up with a family of angora goats as well as dogs of all sizes.

Pets are fantastic companions for people of size. Their unconditional love is so rejuvenating. Perhaps you are confined to a wheelchair or you have impaired mobility. Some pets are workers as well e.g. for our visually impaired friends. It is wonderful to be at home with or come home to a loving companion whether it has a wagging tail, is a purring cat or a singing budgie.
